Overview

MATERIAL COORDINATOR (USATC-22-1412-F):

 

Bowhead seeks a Material Coordinator to join our team in Fort Jackson, SC. The Material Coordinator will be responsible for establishing, managing, and operating a Production, Planning, and Control (PPC) system in support of the Logistics Readiness Center (LRC). The Material Coordinator shall utilize the Logistics Information Systems (LIS) to plan, schedule, control, and process all maintenance requests for repair or service. The Material Coordinator shall receive, verify, input, and edit data associated with the processing of maintenance requests. The Material Coordinator shall prepare documents used for scheduling workload and resources and shall ensure priorities and schedules are met. In addition, the knowledge and experience required to hold the position are outlined below.

Responsibilities

Essential functions will include:
• Compiling and recording production data for industrial establishments to compare records and reports on volume of production, consumption of material, quality control, and other aspects of production

• Requisition/stock/replenish all Shop stock and Bench stock items to include all pre-existing and future G-ARMY designated Shop Stock and Bench Stock repair parts

• Ensuring the Army Material is managed correctly and accurately by ensuring inventory counts and locations, on hand balances, and part due-ins are current and updated as required

• Ensuring the Shop Stock and Bench Stock listing will be updated Semiannually or as required by the COR

• Operate G-Army computer system IAW Army user manual and Army governing regulations

• Ensuring proper turn-in of recoverable and repairable serviceable / unserviceable purchases orders (PO) to the Supply Support Activity (SSA)

• Performing the following tasks using applicable LIS: Opening and closing maintenance requests and understand all data elements identified during this process; performing data backups and restoration of database files.

• Performing daily NMO/Work Order File Transfers to the appropriate US Government-provided LIS system using the established protocol and interfaces.

• Performing and managing all aspects of the Document Control Register and reconcile same with the appropriate SARSS activities.

 

Qualifications

In accordance with Executive Order 14042: Ensuring Adequate COVID Safety Protocols for Federal Contractors, candidates should be aware that they may be required to have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.


• A High School diploma is required at a minimum however, an Associate’s degree is preferred
• Must possess a minimum of two (2) years’ of experience in logistics, preferably in the Army or Military
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
• Excellent written/verbal communication skills are required as well as the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts
• Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team

Physical Demands:
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
• Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically


SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must be able to obtain a clearance at the Pubic Trust level. US Citizenship is required for a Public Trust clearance at this location.
