Overview

 

Bowhead seeks an Industry Engagement Specialist to support the Assistant Secretary of the Army, Acquisitions Logistics and Technology (ASA/ALT) contract located in Washington DC. The Industry Engagement Specialist will provide direct support to the Special Assistant to the ASA(ALT) with any and all tasks and duties as assigned. 

Responsibilities

  • Serve as liaison for industry engagements for the ASA(ALT), PDEP ASA(ALT), and PMILDEP ASA(ALT) with defense industry vendors and interest groups
  • Provide real time updates to Industry Engagement Tracker
  • Provide logistical arrangements for ASA(ALT), PDEP ASA(ALT), and PMILDEP ASA(ALT) industry engagements with defense industry vendors and interest groups, including escort services, arranging temporary facility access and parking and responding to any and all inquiries
  • Compose read aheads, briefing materials and reference information for the ASA(ALT), PDEP ASA(ALT), and PMILDEP ASA(ALT) meetings with defense industry vendors and interest groups
  • Coordinate tasking of preparation materials for input in the Army TMT (SharePoint) System in preparation for industry engagements and other activities of the ASA(ALT), PDEP ASA(ALT), and PMILDEP ASA(ALT)
  • Provide assistance with logistics and preparation, information and reference materials for ASA(ALT), PDEP ASA(ALT), and PMILDEP ASA(ALT) attendance at professional seminars, networking sessions, conferences, speaking engagements, on-site vendor reviews and demonstrations. Attend engagements on site as necessary
  • Communicate directly with ASA(ALT), PDEP ASA(ALT), and PMILDEP ASA(ALT) executive assistants, executive officers and other support personnel regarding industry engagements, professional seminars, networking sessions, conferences, speaking engagements, on-site vendor reviews and demonstrations
  • Participate in industry engagement sessions as necessary and transcribe critical information as required. Action includes providing post meeting briefing to Special Assistant to the ASA(ALT) as necessary
  • Execute records management tasks as necessary for industry engagement information and additional support materials
  • Provide input to monthly status reports

Qualifications

In accordance with Executive Order 14042: Ensuring Adequate COVID Safety Protocols for Federal Contractors, candidates should be aware that they may be required to have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccine by date of hire.

 

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field plus five (5) years experience in providing strategic communications support in a professional communications environment.
  • Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts. To receive and respond to instructions/assignments, must be able to read, write and speak English.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team.

Physical Demands:
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
• Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
• Must be able to twist, bend, and squat periodically

 

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
