Overview

Bowhead seeks to network with Scheduling Managers to support on-going and future efforts for the Air Force Special Operations Command's (AFSOC) 1st Special Operations Wing squadron operations at Hurlburt Field, FL. The focus of work is to support non-flying additional duty positions traditionally filled by rated aircrew members.

Responsibilities

  • Provide continuity and assist with range/airspace scheduling, flying mission tracking, scheduling, and related training support as designated by the particular squadron
  • Schedule approximately 200-400 people, working in close concert with operations personnel to track daily flying operations and coordinate scheduling and training requirements to ensure aircrew currency and qualification
  • While solving complex problems and last-minute changes, assure 100 percent mission requirements are filled with no gaps in mission coverage
  • Assist squadron leadership on daily operations within the current operations unit to include flying schedules and de-confliction of aircrew currencies, qualifications, upgrades and training rides. This includes any airspace required for the execution of the scheduled flying line
  • Use the Center Scheduling Enterprise
  • Assist in forecasting, developing and coordinating with various internal and external agencies with the execution of the squadron flying and ground range schedule
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Experience as an Aircrew Scheduler in an operational/training flying unit
  • Minimum two years of experience working with Microsoft Access, Excel, and SharePoint
  • Demonstrated high degree of understanding and knowledge of SOF aircrew procedures to include tactics, techniques and procedures, aircrew training, standardization and evaluation, publications management, exercise management, and mobility requirements
  • Proficient in the utilization of Center Scheduling Enterprise
  • PEX experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Air Force (AF) and Special Ops Forces (SOF) organizational structures, functions and procedures, as well as command relationships and responsibilities, highly desired

 

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
