Senior Logistician 


Bowhead seeks a Senior Logistician to join our team in supporting the Crane, IN Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC Crane) and the Radar Technologies Division. The Senior Logistician shall perform various tasks related to the planning, development, implementation and management of a comprehensive, affordable and effective systems support strategy. The Logistician shall be capable of independently performing complicated and technical logistics tasks described below. 


  • Work with assigned Task Manager on Depot Activation Plan Checklist for Test Set and Repair Capability.
  • Work with assigned Task Manager on Interim Depot Efforts. Assist as needed in various status efforts, tasks, etc.
  • Participate in LCCB with PHD. Providing comments, if applicable, on changes.
  • Participate in Bi-Weekly/Weekly IPT's with NSWC Crane and Program Office. Provide status and complete action items as assigned.
  • Update various presentations as requested by ISEA for status updates
  • Review CDRL Updates Quarterly from PHD as assigned via email by due date.
  • Provide documentation such as drawings, test documents, etc. as requested.
  • Assist engineering team in studying OEM drawings and development of internal WXP drawings
  • Analyze failure trend data, FMECA
  • Perform an ILA in regards to the health of the AN/SPY-6


  • BA/BS and an additional eight (8) years of relevant experience is required. Additional work experience may be substituted for the formal education requirements for the highly qualified candidates 
  • Prior experience supporting NSWC Crane is preferred
  • Ability to communicate with internal technical team, Program Office, & OEM on weekly basis


  • Able to communicate using terminology from the Integrated Product Support Elements


  • Develop, execute, and monitor logistics tools required for AN/SPY-6 requirements execution


  • Experience developing Independent Logistics Assessments (ILA)


  • Ability to perform Reliability, Maintainability, Availability (RMA), Failure Mode Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA)


  • Analyze trend analysis in RMA, FMECA, fleet data


  • Assist in developing predicting Mean Time Between Failure (MBTF)


  • Analyze, inspect, and assess mechanical drawings (OEM & WXP) for formal reviews and deduce logistics information/data from drawings to assist the Engineering team

  • Prior experience and knowledge of logistics procedures and processes is required
  • Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts
  • Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team 

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift up to 15 to 25 pounds 
  • Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
  • Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically


SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level.  US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
