Bowhead seeks an Information Technology Lead to support an upcoming Innovation, Integration, and Information Support III (3IS III) contract primarily at Schriever Space Force Base, CO. 


Lead Bowhead efforts to assist the Government in development, and documentation of all 12 DOS IT processes as part of that unit’s initiative to develop a complete set of continuity binders that fully define the various IT functions performed.  Lead efforts to develop flow charts and documentation that describe in sufficient detail the steps, or order of execution, for the systems and processes utilized in support of the 12 DOS IT mission and Building 24 units. 


Lead and manage:

  • Systems Engineering, Consolidated Job Control, Help Desk support and Workgroup Management support
  • Network and server equipment management
  • Operating Systems and Applications Support, including communications system technical support, architecture design and troubleshooting
  • Exercise and Wargame Support: Ensure infrastructure and systems architectures in place to support operational exercises, wargames, experiments, demonstrations, and contingencies
  • Computer Systems Support: actions undertaken to purchase, configure/re-configure, field/dispose of, account for and accredit the 12 DOS/Building 24 stand-alone and networked IT systems and equipment at the Unclassified, Secret and TS-SCI classification levels
  • Certification and System Accreditation: support Government development of Assessment and Authorization (A&A) packages IAW DCID and AF guidance and provide the Designated Approval Authority and/or Certifying Authority with system Assessment and Authorization recommendations. Specifically, the contractor shall provide initial and recurring draft C&A packages to HQ 12 DOS Information System Security Officers (ISSOs) for all 12 DOS/Building 24-managed networks, to include Unclassified, Secret, and TS-SCI networks


• Bachelors (BS) Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Physics Science, or equivalent
• Strong DoD Space Officer background, preferably service in one or more of the organizations served by this contract
• At least ten (10) years in management positions with ten (10) years experience in one or more of the following space related focus areas: Program Management; OT&E / DT&E; Wargaming; Distributed Mission Operations (DMO) in support of exercises utilizing Live, Virtual, Constructive (LVC) tools and processes;; or Information Technology
• Graduate of Space Operations Officer Courses (Space 100 through 300)
• Possess knowledge and experience managing IT service Management
• Intermediate level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and senior military leadership
• Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to lead and motivate


SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must have an active security clearance at the Top Secret level. Must be eligible for a Sensitive Compartmental Information (SCI). US Citizenship is a requirement for a Top Secret/SCI clearance at this location.
