Bowhead is seeking a Senior Intelligence Planner at Shaw AFB, SC to assist 15th Air Force in advising, assisting, advocating, integrating, and certifying (A3IC) its Force Elements at assigned wings and Direct Reporting Units (DRU).  This position also performs duty as Deputy to the contract Site Lead and participates in internal and external working groups, exercise planning conferences, and support exercise execution development and events providing unit level intelligence operations, FE and CAFFORGEN expertise.



  • Serves as Deputy Site Lead and the backup focal point for the COR when the primary is not available.  Responsible for general administration of Full Time Equivalent (FTE) personnel on the task order.
  • Assist with identifying and publishing directorate, and positional training requirements and processes to be exercised during recurring training events and exercises
  • Develop and validate field designed scenarios, METLs, injects, and associated exercise and certification materials
  • Attend planning conferences to include development, initial, mid, and final planning conferences
  • Assist in the evaluation and assessment of certification exercises as they impact 15 AF Wings
  • Assist in development and maintenance of the MSEL and METLs for certification exercises and higher headquarters exercises or training scenarios
  • Assist with other assigned staff A3IC tasks to support 15 AF mission directives.


Required Qualifications:

  • Familiar with unit level intelligence operational training, support to flying operations, and certification or evaluation requirements
  • At least 2 years of wing level exercise planning experience, as well as planning and program management experience
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • TS/SCI security clearance

Desired Qualifications:

  • 4 years of experience serving on a staff within a Wing A-Staff, NAF, MAJCOM, HAF, or other Joint Staff experience
  • 2 years of information warfare (cyber/intel) operations within Information Warfare Working Group and Air Force information warfare
  • At least 1 year MAJCOM level or Air Operations Center unit support experience
  • Ability to build presentations and brief current intelligence, planning briefs, and readiness to the executive level staff.
  • Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts
  • Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team


Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
  • Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level.  US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
