Overview

Executive Assistant/Consultant (AFCENT):

 

Bowhead is seeking an Executive Assistant (EA) / Consultant to the FP to serve as executive assistant and senior consultant to 9AF (AFCENT)/FP Director. The EA assists the FP Director in achieving seamless FP combat operations.  The EA also provides expert advice to the FP Director on the direction and program management of all FP support operations/activities and advises on direct interactions with senior leaders in 9AF (AFCENT) directorates and their personnel, formulating recommended improvements to FP functional area.

Responsibilities

Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist in the formulation and development of FP Director’s vision, intent, and guidance to staff and subordinate branches.
  • Provide strategic deliberate and contingency crisis action planning expertise for FP plans and programs and special engagement events in support of on-going and future contingency operations.
  • Advise on the development of FP briefings for 9AF (AFCENT) updates at the senior leader attendee/audience level.
  • Manage taskings/staff response for FP distributed directorate. Maintain FP senior leader calendars; coordinate schedules, meetings/conferences; assist with travel arrangements and orders as needed to support Director’s mission.
  • Draft wide variety of recurring/nonrecurring documents; review/finalize media prepared by others in handwritten/electronic drafts. Review and process incoming/outgoing correspondence, materials, publications, regulations, and directives; establish and monitor suspenses.
  • Support management of the TMT program for FP. Coordinate with the Chief of Staff, the FP Director and other directorates for the completion of all assigned tasks.

Qualifications

POSITION REQUIREMENTS           

  • Five (5) years’ experience with contingency crisis actions and plans and programs.
  • Five (5) years’ experience with TMT.
  • TS/SCI security clearance.
  • Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts
  • Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team.

 Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
  • Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level.  US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
