Overview

Police Services Program Manager and Resource Assistant (AFCENT):

 

Bowhead is seeking a Police Services Program Manager and Resource Assistant to advise 9AF (AFCENT)/FP on coordination of air base defense, antiterrorism, FP, physical security, and short-range defense support with USCENTCOM, the Air Staff, and Host Nation forces. The Program Manager also assists in the daily management of contractor logistics support (CLS) website to include movement of equipment to and from CLS repair facility and advises 9AF (AFCENT)/FP about research, acquisition, and management of new security/FP technologies for the AOR.

Responsibilities

Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Dispose of equipment as needed that has been approved for DRMO by FP.
  • Receive and ship equipment through TMO to units in AOR.
  • Assist in the management of maintenance repairs and supply items for the badge system when primary is unavailable.
  • Function as the Defense Biometrics Identification System (DBIDS) manager for 9AF (AFCENT)/FP in order to assist AFFOR/FP as needed in daily operations.
  • Assist with Unit Security Manager Duties. Maintain an active DISS (or equivalent system) account.
  • Assists 9AF (AFCENT)/FP in developing and providing law and order policy throughout USCENTCOM AOR.
  • Establish command unique programs and policies to ensure law enforcement operations are maintained for installations, personnel, and resources.
  • Ensure all units comply with criminal history data reporting and National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) indexing requirements in accordance with DAFI 3-5, DoD, and applicable U.S. regulations.
  • Conduct Tier 3 compliance reviews on Air Force Justice Information System (AFJIS) incidents, investigations, and associated case files.
  • Attend recurring teleconferences with AFJIS PMO, AFSFC, and ICMs to discuss Security Forces (SF) criminal and NCIS indexing trends, AFJIS requirements, workarounds, policy changes, and issues.

Qualifications

POSITION REQUIREMENTS           

  • Three (3) years’ experience in a USAF Security Forces’ police services position.
  • Three (3) years’ experience in USAF Security Forces’ Logistics.
  • Three (3) years’ experience in Standard Base Supply System, TMO procedures, DBIDS, and USAF Automated Entry Control Systems required.
  • Secret security clearance.
  • Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts
  • Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team. 

WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work is primarily sedentary and is performed in a normal office environment.  Some overnight travel is required and the contractor may be exposed to risks associated with field work which may include moderate stress such as being exposed to adverse weather or high temperatures.

 

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Top Secret level.  US Citizenship is a requirement for Top Secret clearance at this location.
