Overview

FORCE PROTECTION MANPOWER ASSISTANT (AFCENT):

 

Bowhead is seeking a FP Manpower Assistant to analyze operational support documents such as: Deployed Requirements Manning Documents, Requests for Forces, Deployment Orders, Global Force Management Allocation Plans, Execute Orders and Operations Orders.  The Manpower Assistant advises the Director, 9 AF (AFCENT)/FP to formulate resource requirements to protect air bases against ground attacks and terrorism at contingency locations throughout the USCENTCOM AOR. 

Responsibilities

 

  • Serve as the focal point for manpower, deployment, and Aerospace Expeditionary Force issues for Security Forces personnel targeted for deployment in support of theater contingency operations.
  • Coordinates with USAF Force Provision Headquarters, Air Staff, MAJCOMs, AFPC/DPW, AFIMSC and supported component and provisional organizations on the planning, execution and delivery of expeditionary combat support forces to the CENTCOM AOR. Must Assist Provisional Aerospace Expeditionary Security Force units seeking assistance in the deployment, reception and redeployment for all AFCENT Security Forces personnel deployed in support of USCENTCOM Contingency Operations.
  • Coordinates with USAF Force Provision Headquarters, Air Staff, MAJCOMs, AFPC/DPW, AFIMSC and supported component and provisional organizations on the planning, execution and delivery of expeditionary combat support forces to the CENTCOM AOR. Must Assist Provisional Aerospace Expeditionary Security Force units seeking assistance in the deployment, reception and redeployment for all AFCENT Security Forces personnel deployed in support of USCENTCOM Contingency Operations.
  • Analyzes Security Forces deployment data to develop, resolve and improve concepts and principles of Security Forces deployment programs, practices and procedures.
  • Assist with Security Forces management with Organize, Train and Equip (OT&E) solutions on Timed Phased Force Deployment listings to include Regional Training solutions, Intermediate Locations, Port of Embarkation, Port of Debarkation and Required Delivery Dates.
  • Completes Time Phased Force and Deployment Data (TPFDD) reviews of all Force Protection Manpower to develop and submits Deployed Requirement Manning Document (DRMD) requirement details to AFCENT/A and A3 for TPFDD Maintenance updates. Ensuring the data reflects accurately with FP Director’s vector for FP imperatives in support of overarching USAFCENT mission.
  • Interfaces with USAFCENT A3 Force Management to ensure USAFCENT Force Protection equities are implemented into the Global Force Management Allocation Plan (GFMAP). Assist USAFCENT A3 with management of oversight, policy and guidance for the Global Force Management function of attached USAFCENT Force Protection forces across the USCENTCOM AOR.

Qualifications

            

  • Three (3) years’ experience with concepts and principles of USAF Integrated Defense and Antiterrorism programs.
  • Five (5) years’ experience in Contingency Planning at the NAF level or other service equivalent.
  • Five (5) years’ experience with JOPES and DCAPES programs or equivalent is required.
  • Three (3) years’ experience with analyzing operational support documents such as: Deployed Requirements Manning Documents, Requests for Forces, Deployment Orders, Execute Orders, and Operations Orders.
  • U.S. Secret security clearance.
  • Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts
  • Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work is primarily sedentary and is performed in a normal office environment.  Some overnight travel may be required and the contractor may be exposed to risks associated with field work which may include moderate stress such as being exposed to adverse weather, high temperatures, etc.

 

 Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
  • Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically

 

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level.  US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
