Overview

Task Lead - Records & Information Management (DHS-2023-19066-W):

 

Bowhead is seeking to network with a Task Lead - Records & Information Management for an upcoming effort at the DHS office in Arlington, VA who will provide over site to Records & Information Management and Modernization for the whole of DHS Records. The Task Lead - Records & Information Management will be working with a team of DHS professionals to maintain and modernize the Records & Information Management. 

 

 

Responsibilities

Job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop enterprise-wide intergrated programs for Records and Information Management (RIM), the Paperwork Reduction Act (PRA) and CISA Forms (Forms). 
  • Work in partnership with e-discovery, FOIA requests, Privacy and legal records hold requests programs.
  • Develop program and technical requirements, and continue implementing agile and innovative solutions that emphasize technology, automation, and a user mindset.
  • Conduct current and future state needs assessments for CISA records programs, including electronic records and the records and information program, eDiscovery, the PRA program and the Forms program.
  • Develop a roadmap and key performance measures for records programs, and provide implementation support for creating a single, digital record viewing experience that focuses on recommended approach, prioritization, timing, and measurement for records accuracy. 
  • Develop user focused solutions to make records management as simple as possible, focusing on managing records from the back-end of electronic systems vs. manual user frontend actions. 
  • Other duties as assigned.  

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree is required at a minimum in addition to five to eight (5 to 8) years' of experience in a professional Records and Information Management role
  • No less than three years of substantive and relevant experience in 508
  • Certified DHS Section 508 Trusted Tester & DHS Trusted Tester Certification for Web on Windows- Preferred
  • Advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts
  • Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift up to 15 to 25 pounds 
  • Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
  • Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: There are no Security clearance requirements at this time, however successful candidates must be able to pass a Background check.  Bowhead reserves the right to change this requirement based on contractual needs.  Due to the location of this work, candidates must be US Citizens.
