Overview

Bowhead seeks an experienced Accounts Payable Supervisor to join our Finance department at our corporate headquarters in Springfield, VA. The successful candidate will provide support in our Accounts Payable department and possess the ability to multi-task, work efficiently under pressure, meet all deadlines and be a strong team player. 

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

 

• Processing Accounts Payable for multiple companies, with attention to detail
• Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, as a team player, with the ability to problem solve
• Ability to process a high volume of invoices in Costpoint, accurately and efficiently; understand what you’re inputting and if necessary, asking questions
• Perform work in accordance with GAAP and Federal Acquisition Regulations
• Reconciliation of AP GL responsibilities; prepaid and deposit accounts
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field and 15+ years of relevant professional experience or 20+ years of relevant professional experience 

• Experience in a supervisory role
• Experience with Deltek Costpoint
• Proficiency with Microsoft Suite
• General knowledge of government contracting and Federal Acquisition Regulations
• Ability to adapt and multi-task, managing and process from multiple mailboxes

 

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: There are currently no Security Clearance requirements for this position; however, candidates must be able to successfully pass a background check. Bowhead reserves the right to change this requirement if necessitated by business needs or contractual obligations.

 

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds

• Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time

• Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically
