RECEPTIONIST/OFFICE ASSISTANT (OASC)

 

Bowhead seeks a Receptionist/Office Assistant in Chalreston, SC to support general business or technical tasks. As a Receptionist/Office Assistant you will be the first point of contact for our company. Duties include offering administrative support across the organization. You will welcome guests and greet people who visit the business. You will also coordinate front-desk activities, including distributing correspondence and redirecting phone calls.

 

Responsibilities

  • Perform clerical functions such as preparing and answering correspondence, receiving visitors, arranging conference calls, and scheduling meetings.
  • Perform general business or technical tasks such as tracking and compiling information of interest.
  • Provide high-level administrative support by conducting research, preparing statistical reports, handling information requests, coordinate collection and preparation of reports.
  • Maintain office inventories.
  • Support general business meetings.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma (Associate's or Bachelor’s Degree preferred)
  • Minimum of 2 years of direct related experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Previous Department of Navy experience is highly desired.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts
  • Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift up to 5 to 10 pounds 
  • Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
  • Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance at the Confidential level.  US Citizenship is a requirement for Confidential clearance at this location.
