LOGISTICIAN (2023-19348):


Bowhead seeks a senior level Logistician to join our team in Crane, IN at the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC Crane). The Senior Logisticians must have extensive knowledge and on the job work experience with Logistics Support for the Small Arms Weapon Systems Division. 


Essential functions will include:

  • Responsible for the logistical process within operational, acquisition and wholesale environments.
  • Prepare and implement directives to ensure effective support as well as establish and enforce standards to ensure the work force is properly equipped.
  • Provide leadership to a team that develops, integrates and manages all logistics actions for the full life cycle management of weapon systems, subsystems and related equipment.


  • A High School diploma or equivalent is required at a minimum, however a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • Additionally, candidates must have at least fifteen (15+) years of professional experience in integrated logistics support. 
  • Must have prior experience supporting the Small Arms Weapon System Division at NSWC Crane. 
  • Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team.

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
  • Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically


SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to obtain a Security clearance at the Secret level, however candidates with an active Secret Clearance are highly encouraged to apply. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
