Overview

ACQUISITION MANAGEMENT ANALYST (SIOP-2023-19406):

 

Bowhead seeks a Acquisition Management Analysts to join our team in providing program management support in a broad range of services to the Shipyard Infrastructure Optimization Program (SIOP) and assisting our US Navy clients in the execution of the SIOP mission. SIOP is chartered with modernizing the infrastructure at four public shipyards in Pearl Harbor HI, Puget Sound WA, Kittery ME, and Portsmouth VA. The Acquisition Management Analyst is responsible for developing long-term goals and strategic objectives for an organization. Identifies, analyzes, and monitors issues that affect profitability, growth, and productivity. May be responsible for external corporate communications with industry analysts and the investment community. May also be responsible for recommending financial and non-financial strategic alternatives and developing and maintaining operational plans.   

Responsibilities

Job duties include but are not limited to:

 

  • Support development and management of an integrated acquisition strategy, consistent with PEO authorities and MDAP/ACAT acquisition programs;
  • Support the development and coordination of SIOP program acquisition documentation IAW DoDI 5000 guidance;
  • Support the development of acquisition studies in response to ASN or OSD tasking;
  • Support development, interpretation and implementation of programmatic strategy, policy and plans to support overall program acquisition execution;
  • Develop and coordinate acquisition-related reports to ASN (RDA) and OSD. Reports include DAES and SAR reporting as well as other ASN (RDA) reporting that is requested;
  • Develop decision briefs and point papers in support of senior level decisions related to the acquisition and execution of SIO;
  • Prepare Gate Review, R3B and Configuration Steering Board deliverables;
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

These are remote positions with occasional support required at government facilities at the Washington Navy Yard.

 

  • Bachelors Degree required
  • 4 plus years (4+) years professional experience with acquisition using Naval systems
  • Must be able to multi-task, manage priorities and work independently with little direction
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team
  • PMP certification, a plus.

 

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
  • Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically

  

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to obtain a security clearance at the Secret level.  US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
