Classified Materials Control Specialist (JWAC)

 

Bowhead seeks a Classified Materials Control Specialist to support the Joint Warfare Analysis Center contract in Dahlgren, VA.

Responsibilities

  • Comply with and follow all Standard Operating Procedures.
  • The Classified Materials Control Specialist will collaborate with Government team members to provide on-site classified material accountability and control support for all classified documents and media. There shall be no more than one (1) marking oversight or accountability error per year that results in a security infraction and zero that result in a violation.
  • The Classified Materials Control Specialist will work with customer Registry team members to ensure on-site classified material accountability and control for all classified documents and media within the Command.
  • The Classified Materials Control Specialist will wrap and mark all incoming and outgoing classified transmittals in accordance with customer SOPs and DoD policy and tracked them in electronic databases.
  • The Classified Materials Control Specialist will sign for incoming classified deliveries and maintain customer logs of classified document receipt chain of custody from origination to final disposition.
  • The Classified Materials Control Specialist will perform routine couriering of classified material within King George County.
  • The Classified Materials Control Specialist will provide general data entry and scanning to enter and track classified materials in an electronic database.
  • The Classified Materials Control Specialist will when directed destroy classified material using customer destruction equipment as dictated by the type of material.
  • The Classified Materials Control Specialist will track classified documents requiring Registry support utilizing customer's Cherwell database.
  • Prior knowledge of the Cherwell application is preferred however not required. customer will provide required training as necessary.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and relevant experience is required. Additional work experience may be considered in lieu of formal education for a highly qualified candidate.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and Power Point.
  • Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated skills in prioritization and multi-tasking.

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
  • Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must be able to maintain a Top Secret clearance. US Citizenship is a requirement for admission to this location.
