Overview

Management Analyst, Senior:

 

Bowhead is seeking a Senior Management Analyst for the upcoming NAVAIR Command Strategic Leadership Support Services effort in Patuxent River, MD. This upcoming program will focus on researching on the current philosophy and strategic initiatives within the Department of Defense (DoD), Department of the Navy (DoN), and the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) including the Naval Aviation Enterprise (NAE) as well as the other services. The Senior Management Analyst will conduct organizational studies and evaluations, design systems and procedures, conduct work simplification and measurement studies, and prepare operations and procedures manuals to assist management in operating more efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Senior expert with extensive knowledge and experience developing and applying analytic methodologies and principles.
  • Leads the application of analytic techniques and helps define project objectives and strategic direction.
  • Is responsible for providing leadership and vision to client and project teams around the methodology.
  • Resolves complex problems, which require an in-depth knowledge of analytic methodologies and principles.
  • Directs the activities of more junior Analysts or other staff as necessary on activities related to the application of analytical techniques and methodologies.
  • Demonstrated managerial and supervisory skills.

Qualifications

  • BS or BA degree.  An AS or AA degree and an additional 4 years of experience may be substituted or an additional eight (8) years of experience may be substituted for a BA/BS.
  • At least five (5) years of experience as an analyst of which at least 3 years must be specialized in a program management, technical, or business analysis discipline; and included in the five (5) years, there must be three (3) years professional experience supporting NAVAIR programs or offices.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of management and operations of Department of Navy Systems Commands.
  • 2 years of supervisory/lead experience is required. Experience performing complex evaluations of existing procedures, processes, communication techniques, models, and/or systems related to management problems is desirable.
  • Must have experience and knowledge sufficient to support senior Navy Leadership in facilitating sand developing command-wide strategic planning and Enterprise level vision documents, administering large organization executive board meetings, and developing command-wide documentation.
  • Experience using advanced features of Microsoft PowerPoint (experience with Microsoft SharePoint is desired).

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds
  • Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
  • Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically

The projected compensation range for this position is $120,000- $160,000. The pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other laws.

 

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
