SENIOR INTEL ANALYST

 

Bowhead is searching for a Senior Intel Analyst to join our team. Bowhead is seeking an experienced Senior Intelligence Analyst to provide support to the AF NTI Program at NASIC in Wright Patterson Air Force Base, OH. This program is designed to significantly improve the responsiveness of the national Intelligence Community (IC) to the needs of Air and Space Component organizations at the operational and tactical levels.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position)

  • Serve as SMEs for AF NTI operational processes and procedures.
  • Research and respond to Requests for Information (RFI) from AF NTI customers utilizing available tools and databases.
  • Maintain routine contact and collaborate with AF NTI elements and other 16 AF partners and ensure effective chat channel operations and flow of information between elements.
  • Collaborate with supported AFCENT/A2 Staff to maintain situational awareness of the operational environment and evolving CENTCOM/AFCENT priorities.
  • Socialize dynamic Combat Air Forces (CAF) operational priorities and targeting/assessment production priorities with National Cryptologic Centers, 16 AF production organizations and theater ISR assets.
  • Socialize Intelligence and targeting/assessment analytical efforts with National Cryptologic Centers (NCCs) and 16 AF intelligence production organizations and provide analytic input to Intelligence and Targeting products, to include classification guidance.
  • Participate in and provide input to meetings supporting host site and AF NTI customer ISR planning.
  • Provide national SIGINT context and background to AFCENT/A2 Analysts and Leadership as they integrate SIGINT into their products and decision making.
  • Support AFCENT/A2 staff and their customers in defining, researching, and refining Air and Space Component SIGINT RFIs; provide support in drafting new and revised information needs statements and emphasis requirements.
  • Review AF NTI operational processes and procedures for currency and accuracy; provide a Memorandum for Record detailing the results to the local Government AF NTI leadership on a monthly basis.
  • Update mission continuity materials, as operational processes and procedures change or are developed; provide updates to the local Government AF NTI leadership for approval and forward updates to Lead Wing for inclusion in the Mission Continuity Plan.
  • Review AF NTI training materials for currency and accuracy and provide a MFR detailing the results to the local Government AF NTI leadership and Lead Wing (70 ISRW).
  • Update AF NTI training materials as operational processes and procedures change or new ones are developed; provide updates to the local Government AF NTI leadership for approval and forward updates to Lead Wing for inclusion in the Master Training Plan.
  • Provide training for current and newly-assigned AF NTI analysts for new and updated operational processes and procedures.
  • Provide input to the local Government AF NTI leadership for daily summary report.
  • Maintain situational awareness of world events.
  • Analyze incoming message traffic to identify evolving situations pertaining to aerospace operations requiring time-sensitive SIGINT support and provide recommendations on courses of action where appropriate.
  • Monitor SIGINT reporting through provided information processing systems and through manual database queries.
  • Disseminate time-critical SIGINT threat analysis, target identification, geo-location, and other intelligence products to AF NTI customers.
  • Research historic and anticipated collection opportunities and activity periods in order to support Intelligence planners in maximizing the effectiveness and efficiency of Air and Space Component ISR operations.
  • Communicate with agencies and airborne collection management to coordinate integrated, complimentary planning, employment, assessment of air and space resources.
  • Provide support to customer intelligence processes with the assessment of ISR collection products to ensure they are being adequately processed, exploited, and disseminated.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 or more (5+) years of experience as a cryptologic/intelligence analyst, linguist or collector and expertise in the following subject areas is required:
    • Joint and combined Air and Space Operations Centers processes;
    • Aerospace operations planning and associated documents such as Air Tasking Orders (ATO) and Special Instructions (SPINS);
    • National intelligence collection platforms and processes;
    • Airborne and other tactical intelligence collection platforms and processes;
    • Cryptologic collection, dissemination and retrieval systems, databases and methods;
    • SIGINT collection management processes and strategies, and a familiarity with other intelligence disciplines' collection management processes and strategies;
    • United States Signals Intelligence Directives (USSID) and cryptologic policies, and a familiarity with other AF and DoD Intelligence Directives and policies;
    • Classification manuals/guidelines and Information Sanitization processes;
  • A Bachelor’s degree is highly preferred in addition to at least five (5+) years of experience in a related field
  • Must have a working knowledge of NSANet, JWICS, and SIPRNET; Chat tools (e.g., ZIRCON, Info Work Space, Jabber); Messaging tools (e.g., AMHS, Coastline, KLASHES, Anchory/MAUI) and Windows applications (e.g., Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Internet Explorer) 
  • Must be capable of quickly learning new systems and associated software applications for proficient execution of tasks
  • Must be able to manage multiple projects with time-related constraints in a fast-paced environment 
  • Must be able to speak effectively before groups of internal and/or external customers or employees
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts.
  • Must be able to receive and respond to instructions/assignments, must be able to read, write and speak English
  • Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team 

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift up to 10-15 pounds 
  • Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
  • Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Top Secret with CI polygraph level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Top Secret clearance at this location.
