Overview

Bowhead is looking for a Logistician to support the PM CCS contract at Picatinny, NJ. The Logisitician will support and manage the partner nation cooperation for program management support services.

Responsibilities

Essential functions will include:

  • Provide logistics analyst product support integration. Provide support in all logistics activities including preparing documents as required for Milestone Decisions (Life Cycle Sustainment Plans, Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) certification, etc.), provisioning, support equipment and tools, technical manual development as well as validations and verification of the same, requirements on packaging, handling, storage and transportation, and development of new equipment training.
  • Provide broad and in-depth level expert analysis and recommendation services on Life Cycle Logistics policies, procedures to Product Support Manager/ILSMs, Human Systems Integration (HSI) practitioners, system and design engineers as well as project management leaders.
  • Ensure that the 12 product support elements are addressed/integrated in the systems engineering, design, and project management planning and execution efforts. The 12 product support elements include the following; Product Support Management, Design Interface, Sustainment Engineering, Maintenance Planning and Management, Manpower and Personnel, Supply Support, Support Equipment, Technical Data, Training and Training Support, Facilities and Infrastructure, and Packaging, Handling, Storage, and Transportation (PHST).
  • Ensure supportability analyses are identified, properly planned, resourced and conducted to influence the inherent design of systems as well as to leverage the support infrastructure in which system will function.
  • Support all fielding activities, including but not limited to coordination, scheduling, and briefing attendance. Also support property/inventory management activities including audit readiness.

Qualifications

 

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent is required in a business or technical field. 
  • Should have 5-10 years professional experience as a U.S. Army logistics and DoD acquisition logistics processes as it relates to ammunition and/or weapons systems.
  • Must have knowledge of Army Regulations (e.g. AR 700-127) and the documentation requirements for DoD Milestones, Type Classification and Materiel Release is required. Superior knowledge of other service/DoD acquisition processes and regulation may be considered.
  • A military background is preferred to understand the logistics implications at both the Soldier and Unit level.
  • Experience with complex or similar programs relevant to the PM CCS programs identified in section C.2 of the PWS.
  • LEVEL II: A graduate degree or 10-20 years of professional experience with U.S Army logistics and DoD acquisition logistics processes as it relates to ammunition and/or weapons systems.

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift up to 5 to 10 pounds 
  • Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
  • Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically

 

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to obtain a security clearance at the Secret level.  US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
