Overview

Bowhead seeks a Portfolio Analyst in their support to the Navy's Weapons Systems Munitions Integration and Hypersonics division. The analyst will support the NSWCDD Ground Fires Portfolio Manager.

Responsibilities

• Support the Ground Fires Portfolio Manager at meetings, reviews, events, symposiums, and conferences as required. Analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of the portfolio’s projects in meeting established goals, requirements, and objectives.
• Inform strategy development for the Ground Fires Portfolio.
• Develop presentation materials and reports for the Ground Fires Portfolio.
• Develop, prepare, coordinate, and execute materials, activities, and events designed to build awareness for USMC Ground Fires research at NSWCDD.
• Development, implement, manage, and update Communications systems and resources to support the Ground Fires Portfolio
• Develop and collect Metrics on Ground Fires Portfolio programs and initiatives.
• Inform Project Management Plans. This includes Scope statements, Work Breakdown Structures, and Integrated Master Schedules.
• Financial execution planning, reporting, tracking, and Business Financial manager interface.
• Maintain portfolio plans and briefings, weekly and monthly status reports, other technical documents, and reports, and working close with multiple authors and program sponsors.
• Manage the execution of classified and unclassified in-person and VTC meetings, scheduling, logistics, brief management, and visitor access.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical, business or management field, or equivalent technical and/or management experience.
• 5+ years' experience in DoD systems operations, research, development, planning, and/or testing.
• Experience in action officer role preferred.
• Ability to work with Warfare Center and Industry team to meet established goals and program schedules.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with senior government officials.
• Proficiency in MS Office (MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), and Operation Flank Speed applications including MS Teams.

 

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance at the Secret level. Candidates with an In-Scope Secret or TS are highly preferred. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.

 

Physical Demands:
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
• Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
• Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically
