Overview

SENIOR LOGISTICS ANALYST (FS&S):

 

Bowhead seeks a Senior Logistics Analyst to support the upcoming Acquisition and Organic Supply Operations Support FS&S contract located in Stafford, VA. 

Responsibilities

  • Oversees all Marine Corps supply functions/activities/operations
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert on Marine Corps supply operations and functional area policies
  • Interfaces with stakeholders regarding the technical aspects of the programs/projects.
  • Assist in developing, implementing, and reviewing Internal Controls and test plans for supply management operations.
  • Coordinate required meetings for supply operations management and training by managing team schedules, locations, sending out of invitations, collection and dissemination of meeting information and presentations for read-ahead(s), drafting and disseminating agendas and information to attendees, tracking, and managing resulting action items from start to completion, drafting and disseminating meeting minutes.
  • Provide technical expertise in the areas of Marine Corps logistics, material and supply management.
  • Ability to facilitate accountability in retail and enterprise level inventory activities and units.
  • Ability to prepare, maintain and control essential supporting documentation to document major events in capital asset’s lifecycle from acquisition, transference, sub custody and final disposition and/or disposal in support of existence and completeness.
  • Propose and manage new mechanisms to improve project workflow efficiencies, and proactively identify points of weakness and inefficiency working with project leads to identify solutions.
  • Be able to understand and fulfil the client’s current needs through anticipating and proactively addressing future needs and executing on those efforts.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or BA/S in relevant field is preferred in addition to fifteen (15) years of relevant experience. 
  • Must have advanced knowledge of Global Combat Support System and Marine Corps in property management and requisition management
  • Experience with equipment inventory, distribution and accounting.
  • Intermediate level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team.

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
  • Must be able to twist, bend, and squat periodically

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to obtain a security clearance at the Secret level, candidates with an active Secret are highly encouraged to apply. US Citizenship is a requirement for admission to this location.
