Bowhead seeks an Emergency Operations Center (EOC) Manager to support the Architect of the Capitol’s (AOC) Emergency Operations Center (EOC).
• Lead a team of EOC analysts to use communications resources and computer systems, monitor alerts from within Capitol Hill and Washington D.C. area first responders and immediately inform AOC leadership of events and emergencies.
• Assists AOC in the development of EOC technologies and integrates various internal AOC applications and capabilities to develop common operating picture and reporting and notification protocols.
• Liaise with technicians/specialists in other AOC mission areas to facilitate the integration of these technologies.
• Responsible for monitoring and tracking various inputs to the EOC common operating picture.
• Must possess professional candor, lateral and hierarchical accountability, and drive toward a unified mission.
• Soft skills, including but not limited to, maturity, patience, composure and an understanding of decorum are vital in this high visibility program.
• Experience using Microsoft Office software such as MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and SharePoint.
• Must possess certifications in ICS300 and ICS-191 or be able to attain those certifications with 120 days of contract start. Familiarity with FEMA’s National Qualifications System (NQS) Emergency Operations Center (EOC) skillsets and Incident Command System (ICS) including formal training in any Emergency Management discipline.
• Experience supporting an emergency response action led by a Federal, State or local Government organization.
• Must possess certifications in ICS300 and ICS-191 or be able to attain those certifications with 120 days of contract start.
• Associate’s degree is desired
