Overview

PROGRAM MANAGER (NAVIFOR):

 

Bowhead seeks a Program Manager to support the Naval Information Forces (NAVIFOR) N6 Directorate located in Suffolk, VA. This effort will provide the highest level of Navy enterprise management and technical support in the areas of: Emergent/future technology modernization; Data analytics/management/science; Application development; Performance planning/improvements; Cybersecurity readiness; Assessment and Authorizations (A&A); IT portfolio management; NMCI/ONE-Net readiness, sustainment, and convergence; Domain IT service delivery; IT Service Management; Shore transformation/integration; and headquarter IT support.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for overall management and performance of all contract activities and task order requirements.
  • Performs day-to-day technical and management support functions of assigned projects.
  • Organizes, directs, and coordinates the planning and production of all activities and deliverables associated with assigned projects.
  • Applies quality assurance measures to the management and performance of the contract.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in IT Management, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Management, or a related discipline.
  • Must have ten (10+) years of IT Program Management experience to include at least five (5+) years’ experience supervising and managing personnel involved in IT projects for the DON or DOD. Two (2+) years’ experience managing at least 20 or more IT professionals.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) required.
  • Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) v3 or later Foundations Certification desired.
  • Intermediate-to-advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite—Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team.

 

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds
  • Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
  • Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Top Secret / SCI level (current SSBI within the five-year scope).  US Citizenship is a requirement for Top Secret clearance at this location.
