Bowhead is seeking a Modeling and Simulation Analyst to install, maintain, update, and operate the simulation software/applications. In addition, the Analyst will conduct the same duties for the operating systems. The needs of the exercise drive the M&S team in creating a constructive and virtual synthetic training environment. The constructive and virtual training environment supports real world training immersion into environments of deploying units. The Analyst maintains a stabile operating system (OS) and simulation software to enable a training unit to exercise specified T&R tasks.

  • Configure, maintain, update, and monitor Red Hat using Red Hat Package Manager (RPM)
  • Operate, maintain, and update various simulations in support of training events.
  • Inform senior leadership and team members about the stability of the training systems while conducting training events.
  • Translate event requirements; identify simulations, equipment, and contractor resources that are required, in support of simulation-based events.
  • Determine simulation event subscriber requirements for various simulation interfaces and selected communication and C4 systems.
  • Understand the capabilities of various scenario generation tools with respect to terrain and force list database preparation for C4 and simulation systems and become versed in all aspects of a model’s capability.
  • Maintain knowledge of automated processing standards, life cycle management, and configuration management practices for supported OSs and simulations.
