Overview

Bowhead seeks SMDS Alarm Response Team personnel (ART) to provide access control/monitoring support services during non-normal work periods to include 24 hours service during weekends and holidays. The Alarm Response Team personnel shall control personnel access and monitor intrusion detection systems (IDS) and closed circuit television (CCTV) control and annunciation panels for alarm conditions and immediately report suspicious activity or system issues to the Local or military police and the COR/SSO/SSR.

Responsibilities

1. Control access of personnel and equipment for SMDS Facility:
a. Conduct face-to-face identification (ID) checks, and
b. Conduct entry and exit inspections of equipment, furniture, supplies, book bags, hand bags, briefcases and related items to prevent the introduction of prohibited items, hazardous materials and other items not authorized for use in the SMDS SOP and report inspection findings to the SSO/SSR.

2. Monitor IDS and CCTV control and annunciation panels for alarm conditions:
a. Monitor security zones status and alarm conditions;
b. Conduct alarm checks;
c. Report Facility and perimeter alarm conditions to the military police and the COR/SSO/SSR as outlined in the SCIF SOP.

Qualifications

  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years verifiable experience
  • Minimum of 3-5 years high-level security experience on DOD site or similar in military
  • Possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional and effective manner
  • Display exceptional customer service and communication skills
  • Have intermediate computer skills to operate innovative, wireless technology at client specific sites
  • Ability to handle crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficiently
  • Conduct personal sweeps in closed areas; monitor prohibited items in certain areas
  • Work in various environments such as cold weather, rain/snow or heat
 

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for a Secret clearance.

 

Physical Demands:
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
• Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
• Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically
