Overview

ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN (F3500 2024-21811):

 

Bowhead seeks an experienced Electronics Technician Maintenance to join our WXP Advanced Radar team in Crane, IN. The Electronics Technician will support the Advanced Radars test capability development through hardware integration for the test setsThe Electronics Technician Maintenance team identifies and resolves equipment malfunctions, calibrate and perform preventative maintenance and must be capable of reading blueprints, schematics and engineering instructions of the assembly of electronic units. They also assist in writing reports and recording data as it relates to testing techniques, laboratory equipment and specifications.

 

Responsibilities

Essential functions will include: 

  • Interpreting and integrating hardware based on drawings, system wiring diagrams, and interface circuit boards. 
  • The production of cables is required for hardware integration into the test sets. 
  • The lab technician will be required take system interfaces and work with various engineers to redline/revise drawings based on changes discovered during integration and verify Cameo model.
  • The tasking will require soldering to revise printed circuit boards.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required at a minimum, however experience is crucial and therefore additional experience will be considered in lieu of any formal education
  • An Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering Technology is highly desired 
  • At least five to eight (5-8) years of experience in an Electronics Technician and/or Maintenance role is required 
  • Integrate hardware based on drawings.

  • Mechanical and Electrical design experience - Analog, Digital, and Power circuit operation and troubleshooting knowledge

  • Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), High voltage training, Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) and associated training is required to perform the duties in designated work areas 
  • Must meet the National Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE) and/or Society for Protective Coatings (formerly Steel Structures Painting Council (SSPC) certification requirements 
  • Must possess solder certification to IPC requirements such as IPC J-STD-001, IPC 7711/7721 or Miniature/Micro-miniature (2M) certification standards 
  • Basic to intermediate level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint 
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team

 

 

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
  • Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to obtain a security clearance at the Secret level. Applicants who currently hold a Secret Clearance are strongly encouraged to apply. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
