Overview

Site Manager & Assistant Site Manager (CNAF-2024-21987):

 

Bowhead seeks to network with Site Managers and Assistant Managers for an upcoming effort to provide administrative support, personnel administrative support, and travel  support services in support of the Commander, Naval Air Forces (CNAF) requirements for administrative duties within the Administration, Training, Operations, Special Projects and Maintenance Departments for organizational level (O-Level) support of Fleet Replacement Squadrons (FRS), Test and Evaluation Squadrons (VX), and CNAP Headquarters (HQ) Flag Administration Directorates.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and direction to the staff in the performance of administrative services, mail services, correspondence preparations, and distribution.
  • Assist as needed in the reporting and detachment of personnel, provide data collection, manage administrative drafts for military personnel actions, military performance evaluations for squadron staff, and student.
  • Ensure employees greet visitors and answer questions regarding published Naval instructions, approved local procedures, and various personnel support policies including payroll, separations, and RED/DA entry support.
  • Review training and performance requirements for personnel to ensure training matches with duties performed within the PWS.
  • Ensure personnel licenses, certifications, and qualifications are maintained current, and documented.
  • Review and update travel documents for accuracy.
  • Performs duties as the primary interface with Program Manager, Deputy Program Manager, and Technical Advisor (TA), and submit weekly and monthly reports as required.
  •  Fulfill office resource gaps as needed during periods of employee leave and resource deficits due to resignations or terminations as required within the site. 
  • Maintain documents in electronic file format.
  • Follow safety protocols and maintains a high level of safety awareness.
  • Accountable for assigned Company Owned Property, Government Furnished Property, and Government Furnished Equipment.
  • Ensure work is performed in accordance with published Instructions, Federal, State, and Local OSHA regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Program Manager, Deputy Program Manager, or Corporate Program Management Office.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of three years’ experience in supervisory or managerial position in a U.S. Navy activity (preferred), Department of Defense (DoD) or U.S. Coast Guard activity (acceptable) as a uniformed service member, civil servant or contractor employee performing Routine Administrative, Personnel Administrative Support, or Travel Administrative Support Services.
  • Knowledge of Navy correspondence and records management procedures, and Navy squadron organizational structure and their relationships to Type Wing Commanders and Type Commanders.
  • Individual shall have written and oral communications abilities commensurate with this management role.
  • Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
  • Ability to understand, speak, read, and write the English language.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees, Government Representative, and outside contacts.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team.
  • Valid driver’s license in the state of employment with an acceptable driving record.
  • US Citizenship is required.

 

Targeted Salaries

 

Site Manager: DOE up to $80,800.00/annually

Assistant Site Manager: DOE up to $76,600.00/annually

 

 

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership and direction to the technical team.
  • Monitor/provide effective performance feedback through employee recognition, coaching, and disciplinary action.
  • Ensures flow of communication from upper management to employees and vice versa.

 

 

 

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged period amounts of time.
  • Must be able to twist, bend, and squat periodically.
  • High noise levels are common as is the potential exposure to heat/cold, noise, dusts, mist, and/or fumes.

 

Environment  

  • Site Manager is required to be on-site.
  • Limited physical accommodations available.
  • Work areas consist of office and non-office settings such and industrial locations.
  • Requires wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) which includes COVID-19 mask, safety glasses, protective-toe footwear, gloves, and hearing protection.

 

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level.  US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
