Overview

ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN MAINTENANCE (F3500 2024-22019):

 

Bowhead is seeking multiple experienced Electronics Technician Maintenance to join our team in Crane, IN. The Electronics Technician Maintenance team identifies and resolves equipment malfunctions, calibrate and perform preventative maintenance and must be capable of reading blueprints, schematics and engineering instructions of the assembly of electronic units. They also assist in writing reports and recording data as it relates to testing techniques, laboratory equipment and specifications.

 

Responsibilities

Essential functions will include:

 

• Assembling electrical and electronic systems and prototypes
• Building, calibrating, and repairing electrical instruments or testing equipment
• Inspecting drawings and designs for quality control, report findings, and make recommendations to the lead engineer
• Performing all manners of depot maintenance to specified Electronic Systems
• Helping to build prototypes from rough sketches or plans, under the engineers’ direction
• Assembling, testing and maintaining circuitry or electronic components according to engineering instructions, technical manuals, and knowledge of electronics
• Adjusting and replacing defective circuitry and electronic components

 

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required at a minimum, however experience is crucial and therefore additional experience will be considered in lieu of any formal education
  • An Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering Technology is highly desired
  • At least five to eight (5-8) years of experience in an Electronics Technician and/or Maintenance role is required
  • Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), High voltage training, Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) and associated training is required to perform the duties in designated work areas
  • Must meet the National Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE) and/or Society for Protective Coatings (formerly Steel Structures Painting Council (SSPC) certification requirements
  • Must possess solder certification to IPC requirements such as IPC J-STD-001, IPC 7711/7721 or Miniature/Micro-miniature (2M) certification standards
  • Basic to intermediate level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts
  • Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team

 

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds 
  • Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time 
  • Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically

 

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to obtain a security clearance at the Secret level, however candidates with an active Secret are highly encouraged to apply. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
