Overview

SENIOR LOGISTICS ANALYST (BCES):

 

Bowhead is seeking a Senior Logistician/Analyst for our (CES) Combat Element Systems program in Stafford, VA to provide general support of logistics duties assigned by MARCORSYSCOM.

Responsibilities

  • Create, manage, and maintain accurate documentation for program level logistics operations, limited technical inspections, fieldings and recoveries. Ensure all documentation complies with USMC standards and technical manuals.
  • Track and manage assets using GCSS-MC, ensuring all data is accurate and up-to-date. Recover and verify signed documentation of receipt from Marine Units and ensure proper distribution / redistribution within GCSS-MC.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of USMC technical manuals and documentation requirements. Ensure all processes and documentation adhere to these standards.
  • Provide responsive support to Government customers, addressing their logistical needs and concerns. Maintain clear and effective communication to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Assist the Logistics Management Specialist (LMS) in managing and executing logistics tasks. Ensure proper assignment and execution of tasks within the team.
  • Provide training and familiarization for team members on documentation procedures, GCSS-MC usage, and USMC technical manuals. Ensure team members are well-versed in these areas to maintain high standards of performance.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve logistics processes and documentation practices. Implement best practices to enhance productivity, accountability, and compliance.
  • Generate regular reports on asset tracking, documentation status, and process improvements. Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Ten (10) years of experience in defense life-cycle (acquisition) logistics support (or 13 years if not DAWIA Level 2 certified).
  • Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) certified in Lifecycle [Acquisition] Logistics Level 2, or equivalent logistics training
  • Department of Defense Instruction (DODI) 5000.02
  • Secretary of the Navy Instruction (SECNAVINST) 5000.2
  • Navy Marine Corps Acquisition Regulation Supplement (NMCARS)Part 5207
  • The Marine Corps Systems Command (MCSC) Acquisition Guide (MAG)
  • Intermediate level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team.

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds
  • Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
  • Must be able to twist, bend, and squat periodically

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to maintain a security clearance at the Secret level, candidates with an active Secret are highly encouraged to apply. US Citizenship is a requirement for admission to this location.
