Overview

PROGRAM PROPOSAL MANAGER (PLTX):

 

Bowhead is seeking a Program Proposal Manager to join our team in Plano, TX with our Manufacturing and Products Business Group. The Program Proposal Manager will be responsible for all aspects of proposal and contract performance. The Program Proposal Manager will be expected to provide leadership, to include all support personnel, as well as interact knowledgeably and easily with appropriate customer, contractor, and support personnel. The Program Proposal Manager will conduct program meetings/reviews, coordinate briefings for the customer, support personnel and Bowhead senior management. The Program Proposal Manager may be called upon to assist in technical writing of proposals and white papers in support of on-going business operations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Request for Proposals as Proposal Manager from solicitation through contract award.
  • Provide management oversight of all personnel assigned to the contract and ensure high-quality and acceptable task completion and deliverables in compliance with the contract.
  • Plan, direct, and monitor program budget, as responsible for P&L, and serves as primary customer contact for assigned program(s).
  • Attend and conduct Government designated briefings/meetings as required; provide reports or conduct briefings or tours on a required basis.
  • Requires strong organizational skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships; excellent written/verbal communication skills required.
  • Assist in providing business growth, risks, and new opportunities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree with emphasis in business or engineering preferred.
  • Minimum of five to ten (5-10) years of program related experience in the management of a similar or related Manufacturing operation.
  • Experience in Supplier Management; any sourcing process management experience is highly desired.
  • Knowledgeable on FAR/DFARs for goods and services preferred.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings.
  • Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team.

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds
  • Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
  • Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: There are currently no Security Clearance requirements for this position; however, candidates must be able to successfully pass a background check.  Due to the location of this work, US Citizenship is required.
