Overview

Bowhead seeks a Test and Validation Systems Engineer to support the Advanced Hypersonic Weapons and Guided Munitions Division of the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Divsion. The ideal candidate will have experience in writing testing and evaluation plans, test event execution, and generating project (testing) artifacts. 

 

Responsibilities

• Developing plans and architecture configurations.

• Overseeing test and evaluation events, that may include ship board tests.

• Generate test result documentation and briefings to project and program leads. 

• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • At a minimum, a Bachelors Degree in an engineering, scientific or technical discipline
  • Six years of total expereince, 4 years of specialized experience
  • Testing and Evaluation Experience
  • Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts
  • Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
  • Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level.  US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
