COMPLIANCE TRACKING SPECIALIST (VDEPT)

 

Bowhead seeks a Compliance Tracking Specialist to join our team in Dahlgren, VA.

Responsibilities

The Compliance Specialist will be responsible for:

  • Monitor and ensure adherence to DoD 8570 compliance standards across all relevant systems and personnel.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to verify compliance with DoD 8570 directives.
  • Maintain detailed records of certification statuses, training completion, and compliance reports.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members on achieving and maintaining DoD 8570 compliance.
  • Collaborate with IT security teams to implement necessary measures for compliance.
  • Prepare compliance reports for management and stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or BA/BS degree prefered 
  • Two (2) years of experience in computer operations, customer support, or another related area. 
  • Proven experience in tracking and managing compliance with DoD 8570 standards.
  • Strong understanding of DoD 8570 directives and associated certification requirements.
  • Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills.
  • Ability to conduct thorough audits and assessments.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and standards.
  • DoD Directive 8570.1 Information Assurance Technical Level II certification required (i.e., Security+ CE).

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift up to 10-20 pounds
  • Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
  • Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to maintain a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location
