Overview

MEDIA LOGISTICS SPECIALIST (DOA-2022-3143):

 

Bowhead seeks a Media Logistics Specialist to support the Department of the Army G3/5/7 mission located in Springfield, VA. The Media Logistics Specialist will provide personnel service and logistical support in order to plan, coordinate, and conduct various strategic leader conferences.

Responsibilities

  • Sets up, operates, and/or repairs audio and video equipment including microphones, sound speakers, video screens, projectors, video monitors, recording equipment, connecting wires and cables, sound and mixing boards, and related electronic equipment for concerts, sports events, meetings and conventions, presentations, and news conferences.
  • May also set up and operate associated spotlights and other custom lighting systems.
  • Coordinate and assists with the production of forums, conferences, trainings, /or special events as assigned.
  • Proactively coordinate event logistics such as: name badges, name tents, handouts/participant material, electronic binders and content management, post event activities and registration.
  • Conduct vendor and supplier research
  • Provide Program Manager with recommendations for conference supplies, maintain inventory of all supplies, create packing lists for each event, and coordinate with couriers for transportation of all event supplies to and from the event venue

Qualifications

  • BA/S in relevant field is highly preferred
  • One to three (1-3+) years of experience coordinating, planning, and conducting seminars, forums, conferences and training events or military family seminars (lodging, meals, meeting space, transportation, guest speakers).
  • Experienced in assisting with the development of spouse agendas.
  • Master proficiency with contemporary computer operating systems and applicable presentation and graphics software.
  • Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team.

 

Physical Demands:
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
• Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
• Must be able to twist, bend, and squat periodically

 

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must be able to obtain a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for admission to this location.
