Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with field data collection, including sampling soil, water, and other media.
  • Support environmental site assessments, spill response, and cleanup activities.
  • Conduct inspections and document findings following established protocols.
  • Perform basic equipment maintenance and calibration.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure project deadlines and safety protocols are met.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate field notes and records for reporting purposes.

·         Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor.

 

Responsibilities

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework or degree in environmental science, biology, geology, or a related field preferred.
  • Willingness to travel to remote locations and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience with environmental fieldwork or sampling.
  • Knowledge of environmental regulations or safety standards
  • This position requires critical thinking and analysis; frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, and lifting and carrying 30+ pounds; working in all weather conditions; field visits per project needs; ability to travel (drive or fly) to and from job sites in Alaska.
  • Familiarity with GPS equipment and mapping tools.
