Overview

LOGISTICIAN (F3500-2025-22250):

 

Bowhead seeks a Logistician to join our team in Crane, IN. The Logisticians are responsible for managing a product's life cycle from design to disposal and must be able to develop, adjust and carry out logistical plans related to various products. Logisticians are required to properly allocate materials, supplies and products to ensure the success of the contract and must have excellent communication and problem solving skills. The Logisticians must also keep accurate and complete record and be able to work in a fast-paced environment requiring excellent organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Essential functions will include:

 

  • Perform obsolescence mitigation study & monitor all equipment being incorporated into ATE to ensure support/reliability through its lifecycle.
  • Submit future DLA/SAP Procurement requests for parts/equipment needed & monitor supply chain to track status, receive, & organize shipments.
  • Assist in process management/scheduling/shipping of MK666 calibrations/maintenance for Land Based Test Sites (LBTS) customers.
  • Investigate Yorktown Depot’s current shipping & storage processes & recommend/incorporate improvements.
  • Create plan of action for MK666 MOD 1 & 2 phase out in U.S. Fleet—How many, when, & costs associated to meet goal of 2030 phase out-Assist in construction of Dualie/Sand Chart for submission to Sponsor
  • Given current failure trends with MK666 MOD3s, perform investigation on how many modules (LRUs) will need to be procured on an annual basis to keep up with demand/sustainment requirements
  • Perform Product support and logistics functions across all twelve Integrated Product Support (IPS) elements.
  • Parts Obsolescence, Sustainment tracking. Communication. Ability to manage supply chains, streamline operations, and maintain service quality. Ensure MK666 NTS, LRUs, & support equipment reach destination efficiently. Ability to Problem solve.Inventory management.

Qualifications

  • An Associate’s degree is desired or a minimum of at least two (2+) years of experience however additional experience may be substituted for formal education for highly qualified candidates.
  • An understanding an application of logistics principles, concepts, practices and standards. Knowledge of industry practices an application to government practices. 
  • Intermediate level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts
  • Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
  • Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically

 

 

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must be able to obtain a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
