Overview

LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST (EO/IR 2025-22281):

 

Bowhead seeks an experienced Logistics Management Specialist to join our team at the Naval Surface Warfare Center – Crane Division (NSWC-Crane).  The Logistics Management Specialist will Provide programmatic and Life Cycle Logistics support for current Electro-Optic Infrared (EO/IR) projects managed by the Electro-Optic Technology Division (EOTD) including programmatic services, procurement documentation development, budget formulation, financial execution and tracking, and technical writing. Contractor shall provide project management support including, but not limited to, the following: coordination of project operations including management of records, schedules, and correspondence; analytical support; deliverables tracking; task management; and support the development of milestones and objectives for current projects.

Responsibilities

Essential functions will include: 

  • Provide programmatic support for current programs’ objectives and acquisition strategies, professional program support service including programmatic services, procurement documentation development, financial, logistics and meeting support
  • Provide analytical and management support including, but not limited to, the following: coordination of management office operations including management of records, schedules and correspondence; analytical support; deliverables tracking; task management; and assistance in the development of milestones and objectives for current programs.
  • Answer LE customer communications received from letters, emails and phone
  • Complete, maintain and route LE program documentation forms, loan agreements and shipping documents.
  • Monitor, input and update LE electro-optic equipment asset tracking records, equipment inventory management records and equipment sustainment status records (all by equipment serial numbers).
  • Create, update and maintain LE program metrics monthly, including total number of assets on loan, total number of agencies in program, number of delinquent loan agreements, number/type/condition code of assets on-hand and on-loan, new agencies entering program, agencies leaving program and monthly delta of asset on loan and agencies in program
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelors' Degree with five (5) to eight (8) years of experience.
  • Experience supporting DoD Logistics, Acquisition and Program Support
  • Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts
  • Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team

 

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
  • Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically

 

 

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level.  US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
