Overview

LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST (EO/IR 2025-22284):

 

Bowhead seeks a Logistics Management Specialist to join our team at the Naval Surface Warfare Center – Crane Division (NSWC-Crane).  The Logistics Management Specialist will Provide programmatic and Life Cycle Logistics support for current Electro-Optic Infrared (EO/IR) projects managed by the Electro-Optic Technology Division (EOTD) including programmatic services, procurement documentation development, budget formulation, financial execution and tracking, and technical writing. Contractor shall provide project management support including, but not limited to, the following: coordination of project operations including management of records, schedules, and correspondence; analytical support; deliverables tracking; task management; and support the development of milestones and objectives for current projects.

Responsibilities

Essential functions will include: 

  • Track material usage and set re-order levels based on input from lab leadership or other input.
  • Create reports or use data from existing reports to provide status or trend analysis to internal and external customers.
  • Schedule required maintenance, monitor the maintenance and return assets to the appropriate activity using correct shipping documents based on customer requirements including familiarity and experience with Shop Workload Management System (SWMS) or other maintenance management data base.
  • Experience managing sensitive and high dollar value inventories including receiving, tracking and issuance of systems and repair parts and associated material as directed.
  • Be able to work independently and be detail oriented, must be able to multi-task supporting multiple customer both internal to Electro-Optics but also external customers including but not limited to: US Navy, Naval Special Warfare, USSOCOM, MARCORSYSCOM and other DOD and Non DOD activities.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelors' Degree with one (1) to five (5) years of experience.
  • In depth operational knowledge in the Government’s Integrated Product Data Management (iPDM) and Model Based Product Support (MBPS) web-based tools; Utilization of both iPDM & MBPS toward CM and Logistics element

  • Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts
  • Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team

 

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
  • Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically

 

 

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level.  US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
