Overview

LOGISTICIAN -SENIOR (EO/IR 2025-22294):

 

Bowhead seeks a Senior Logistician to join our team at the Naval Surface Warfare Center – Crane Division (NSWC-Crane).  The Logistician will Provide programmatic and Life Cycle Logistics support for current Electro-Optic Infrared (EO/IR) projects managed by the Electro-Optic Technology Division (EOTD) including programmatic services, procurement documentation development, budget formulation, financial execution and tracking, and technical writing. Contractor shall provide project management support including, but not limited to, the following: coordination of project operations including management of records, schedules, and correspondence; analytical support; deliverables tracking; task management; and support the development of milestones and objectives for current projects.

Responsibilities

Essential functions will include: 

  • Demonstrate experience in the application of DoD, Government, or Industry Standards, Regulations, Handbooks, and Specifications related to the conduct of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) and development and maintenance of Logistics Product Data IAW GEIA STD 0007 using industry and/or DoD standard applications.

  • Demonstrated experience in shipboard installation process Navy Modernization Plan-Management Operations Manual (NMP-MOM)

  • Be detail oriented in Inventory Data Base management and tracking to include receipts, issues and inventory management using ERP, IPDM, SWMS, and spreadsheets.  Must be able to manage all stages of procurement (cradle to grave) and able to support current OM&S requirements.

  • Ability to communicate professionally both orally and in writing, with demonstrated presentation skills and experience communicating with management levels such as Acquisition Program Managers (APM), Principle/Assistant Program Manager (PAPM) and Program Acquisition Resource Manager (PARM).

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelors' Degree with eight (8) or more years of experience.
  • Relevant experience to the DoD acquisition process including program management, business management, and providing full product life cycle support guidance to the Program Office.

  • Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts
  • Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team

 

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
  • Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically

 

 

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level.  US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
