Overview

ANALYST- TECHNOLOGY INNOVATION (SIOP-2025-22333):

 

Bowhead seeks a Technology Innovation Analysts to join our team in providing program management support in a broad range of services to the Shipyard Infrastructure Optimization Program (SIOP) and assisting our US Navy clients in the execution of the SIOP mission. SIOP is chartered with modernizing the infrastructure at four public shipyards in Pearl Harbor HI, Puget Sound WA, Kittery ME, and Portsmouth VA. The Technology Innovation Analyst educates staff on the use of new technology. Studies emerging trends in the information technology field and their ramifications on the organization. Ensures products and solutions are applied in a manner that maximizes their worth. In addition, Analyst- Technology Innovation is familiar with the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.

 

 

Responsibilities

Job duties include but are not limited to:

  • Researching emerging technologies and identifying potential applications in systems related to shipyard operations.
  • Analyzing the impact of technology solutions on naval shipyard processes, procedures, and systems.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional and management teams to identify and address bottlenecks, reduce waste, and increase productivity and to develop technology solutions that meet naval shipyard needs and objectives.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with technology vendors and industry
  • Creating and maintaining reports that provide insights into the impact of technology solutions on naval shipyard operations.
  • Staying up to date on industry trends and best practices related to naval shipyard
  • Conducting data analysis to identify areas of inefficiency and process improvement opportunities related to industrial processes.
  • Developing and implementing process improvement strategies to optimize production processes, reduce costs, and increase productivity.
  • Monitoring and measuring the effectiveness of process improvements and recommending adjustments as necessary.
  • Creating and maintaining reports that provide insights into the performance of the shipyard and its operations.
  • Conducting research and analysis to inform decision-making related to shipyard
  • Preparing agendas and briefings, capturing action items and notes for programmatic/planning meetings and IPT meetings in support of Industrial Operations Division activities.
  • Providing a full-range of programmatic, management, and administrative support to PMO 555, Industrial Operations
  • Developing program and management documents outlining mission, objectives, concept of operations, and strategic plans
  • Analyzing, reviewing and evaluating processes, procedures, methods, etc. and developing recommendations, policy/instruction and innovative approaches to resolve problems, technology gaps and opportunities, plan future strategies and monitor on-going operations
  • Developing Analysis of Alternatives when identifying solution sets
  • Independently identifying barriers, roadblocks and complex problems with Naval Shipyard data and technology for SIOP projects
  • Developing, initiating and providing optimization opportunities, solutions and recommendations to resolve real time issues impacting SIOP and NSYs
  • Independently investigating and identifying problem(s), how widespread across the corporation the problem is and recommending standardized solutions including gaining approval through a diverse set of stakeholders

Qualifications

 

  • Requires Bachelor's of Science degree
  • Three to five  (3-5) professional experience with Change Management, Quality Assurance or Process Improvement of military or government programs
  • Must be able to multi-task, manage priorities and work independently with little direction
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team

Target salary is $100,000/year to $125,000/year, commensurate with experience

 

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level.  US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
