Overview

EQUIPMENT SPECIALIST (MIELS):

 

Bowhead seeks an Equipment Specialist to support the Marine Corps Information Technology, Engineering and Logistics effort located in Albany, GA. The Marine Corps Engineering Support contract is tasked with support within the areas of: program management; logistics; asset management; engineering; customer service; research and development of new capabilities; test and evaluation; manpower, training, and personnel; new equipment fielding and training; financial management; information assurance; cybersecurity; and 24X7 enterprise services operations and sustainment.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as the Logistics, Provisioning, and Technical Subject Matter Expert
  • Provides information and advice to those who design, test, produce, procure, supply, operate, repair, or dispose of equipment.
  • Provides technical input during the development of procurement and technical data packages.
  • Compiles, maintains, and analyzes data for tools, parts, components, and standardized maintenance procedures needed for efficient field use and maintenance.
  • Aids during the conduct of logistics assessments supporting new equipment procurement decisions.
  • Prepares high quality logistics documentation such as Supply Instructions, Technical Instructions, Modification Instructions, and Disposal Plans.
  • Assists in the development of repair manuals and technical bulletins and overseeing the completion of Cataloging Action Requests and supply catalog data/information.
  • Maintain, update, and perform Cataloging Action Requests-Table of Organization and Equipment Change Requests (CAR-TOECR) for equipment within TFSMS.
  • Participate in Logistics Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), Pre-Provisioning conferences, Provisioning Guidance Conferences, and Provisioning Conference in support of provisioning/cataloging efforts.
  • Access the Product Data Reporting and Evaluation Program (PDREP) to review, validate, and respond to PQDRs.
  • Perform Provisioning Technical Data analysis and input provisioning data into Marine Interactive Computer-Aided Provisioning System, Provisioning Subsystem 10, and Item Application File databases.
  • Conduct research in support of Level of Repair Analysis (LORA) in support of maintenance concepts development for all programs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field. Four (4+) additional years combination of education, professional training, or relevant work experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
  • Three (3+) years of relevant logistics experience; progress towards DAWIA LCL Foundational Qualified. 1-2 DAWIA LCL Credentials.
  • Five (5+) years direct knowledge acquisition logistics experience.
  • Two (2+) years' experience supporting acquisition flow and USMC equipment birthing process creating associated documentation and approvals required for fielding.
  • Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team.

Physical Demands:

 

  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds
  • Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
  • Must be able to twist, bend, and squat periodically

 

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Top Secret/SCI level.  US Citizenship is a requirement for Top Secret clearance at this location.
