The RVCC Alaska Hub Project Assistant will support the project managers and the RVCC team by performing administrative and logistical tasks to ensure the project goals stay on track. The project Assistant will help maintain open lines of communication with a variety of stakeholders including members of RVCC and partnering communities/entities in rural Alaska. Duties will also include setting up and facilitating workshops and meetings, both virtual and in-person.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions

 

Administrative Support Duties:

  • Organizing and maintaining project documentation, files, and records.
  • Scheduling meetings, coordinating travel arrangements, and managing calendars.
  • Preparing reports, presentations, and other project-related materials.
  • Drafting correspondence and emails.

 

Project Coordination:

  • Facilitating communication between project team members and stakeholders.
  • Assisting with project planning and implementation.
  • Tracking project progress and milestones.

Qualifications

Knowledge and Critical Skills/Expertise:

    • Strong organizational and time management skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency in relevant software and tools.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills.

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in science-related field.
  • At least one year of experience engaging entities in rural Alaska.

Physical Demands:

  • Position is that of a sedentary nature.
  • Must be able to use standard office equipment.
  • Must be able to lift and carry files weighing up to 10 pounds.

Sitting at a computer for long periods of time.
