Systems Engineer (VSE-2025-23212)
Bowhead is seeking a Systems Engineer to Support the Combined Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) and Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) Trainer (CIAT) Program within the Integrated Combat Systems (V) Department at Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD).

This position requires a flexible individual with experience in Systems Engineering and Requirements Verification. The Systems Engineer will support the System Engineer Principal Area Lead (SE PAL) for the Combined Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) and Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) Trainer (CIAT) program in System Engineering tasks, including but not limited to:
Working with 3rd Party SIM Lead to get the correct version/capability set from sims
Understand the basics of virtual machines (“pinned down” and why it impacts development)
Work with the GOV Lead System Engineer to develop schedule for delivery
Work across functions to understand tasks and time constraints to meet delivery schedule
Integrated into Product Development Team
V2.6/7 to integrate into the SCSTE working group; cost estimates for future work
Working with SysAdmin/Cyber/AnA to maintain ATO readiness
Lead TOR Adjudication Meetings; CM to execute meeting flow and agenda
Accountable for all TRR meetings and packages (functions to develop products and submit)
Responsible for V2.6/8: RVM, Delivery SKED, TOR Status, ATO, TRR, Test Plans, Risks
Physical Demands:
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
