Bowhead seeks a Mid-Level Systems Portfolio Engineer to support our customer on the PICRD II contract in Colorado Springs, CO.
• Develop and coordinate technical solutions for requirements, ensuring compatibility within the HQ USSPACECOM infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain Communication and Information Systems Installation Records (CSIRs), Preventive Maintenance Inspection (PMI) reports.
• Provide information to the Government using databases and other tools as required by USSPACECOM processes.
• Develop technical solutions, cost estimates, total cost of ownership/operation data, POA&Ms, LCM inputs/changes, and recommendations.
• Interface with USSPACECOM and external stakeholders in working groups, technical exchange meetings, and other forums.
• Support examining mission requirements and assist in developing technical requirements for multi-level classification networks and releasable classification levels.
• Interact with customers/users to develop and review communication system requirements.
• Oversee the development and review CR/TS documented in a service design package for solutions related to infrastructure, network, computer systems, software, finance, installation, outside agency coordination, information assurance, and compatibility assurance.
• Provide technical network and systems engineering expertise to document technical solutions in a service design package meeting customer requirements.
• Work within the J6 IT governance process to assist the Government in defining requirements, developing technical solutions, and work plans consistent with architectural and information system security guidelines.
• Follow local procedures for preparing and processing communication system requirements.
• Develop technical solution coordination per the Government-approved communications requirements process, documented in a service design package.
• Detail the impact on infrastructure, methods, and means of implementation, including system description, points of contact, implementation dates, hardware/software requirements, funding, and information classification.
• Include requirements in the project/implementation plan and coordinate logistics support, technical data, manpower, facilities, packaging, handling, storage, and transportation with appropriate agencies.

• BS degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science from an ABET accredited or CAE designated institution. Additional experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Minimum of one (1) year of technical experience performing the duties described and a minimum of four (4) years of professional experience.
• Meets the Core and Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Tasks (KSATs) defined in the DoD Cyber Workforce Framework for Work Role 632 (NIST: SP-SYS-002).
• Experience performing system loading and (re)configuration, user account management, system backup and recovery, troubleshooting, removing, and replacing components and peripherals, installing software, operating systems and drivers.
• Experience with Ansible, Windows 7, Windows 2008, Windows 10, VMware ESXi v5 or later, and Windows 2012, LINUX, UNIX (including SUN, SGI, and PC variants), and Office 365. Experience providing Microsoft SharePoint administrative and management functions.
• Experience maintaining equipment operations through Preventative Maintenance Inspections (PMI) and repair schedules.
Certification Requirements:
• Required: CompTIA Sec+
• Desired: FITSP-D, GCSA, GISF, SSCP
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must currently hold a Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.
