Overview

Bowhead Information Technologies Service is seeking a Strategy & Campaign Planner to support our Space Forces – Space customer.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and expertise for the Plans Division (S5) in the application of operational art and design into planning efforts
• Support S53 to create, execute, and administratively maintain OPTs in support of plans development and assessment both through in-person OPT participation or remotely (telephonic, Teams, etc.)
• Develop and maintain support plans in conjunction with the joint planning process
• Conduct research and perform analysis of new CCMD/Joint and Service Component plans and make recommendations for use in developing and updating S5 support plans
• Provide recommendations for the best course of action for plan development at all levels
• Assist in the refinement of plans at all levels for the command
• Conduct analysis, as directed, to improve/eliminate/add areas for planning
• Recommend changes and updates based upon organizational changes and the evolution of the future environment
• Develop mission analysis products, develop COA and COA analysis, assist with wargaming products (e.g., excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint briefings, written analytical products), and the drafting, coordination and approval of contingency plans
• Analyze, develop, and integrate adversary-specific details in plans and targeting processes to include the development and maintenance of CAL
• Represent the S5 and/or S53 in Command and multi-Directorate events and complete limited admin duties including internal/external document preparation and review and management of tasking using TMT on NIPRNet and SIPRNet
• Travel to and participate in planning conferences and other events at CONUS and OCONUS locations
• Develop and maintain support plans, mission analysis products, COA analysis, and wargame products

Qualifications

• Minimum BA/BS (MA/MS is preferred)
• Minimum of 12 years of relevant experience
• Experience initiating and/or developing Government specified content for USSPACECOM S5
• Experience in providing strategic advice, technical guidance, analysis and recommendations for mission and program challenges
• Maintains the specific skills, knowledge, and comprehension to perform all task functions quickly and accurately without supervision or assistance

 

Physical Demands:

Must be able to lift up to 25pounds
Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically

 

Must currently hold an active Top Secret clearance with SCI, SAP and ACCM Eligibility.
