Bowhead seeks a Mid-Level Cybersecurity Analyst to join our team supporting NIWC Atlantic. The Cybersecurity Analyst will work directly with the client analyzing complex and unique technical support assignments and collaborate with other cyber security engineers, system administrators, program analysts, ISSOs and ISSMs within a scaled agile environment. This position is 100% onsite. No hybrid/flex or remote work schedules are permitted for this effort.
• Support the program ISSO in compliance initiatives and RMF package maintenance actions.
• Provide recommendations to the program ISSO regarding system security posture initiatives.
• Responsible for assessing and managing cybersecurity risks.
• Research National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), DoD and Navy Guidance on Cybersecurity and related topics in response to requests for data or information related to cybersecurity topics, posture, impacts, or issues and reviews.
• Review architectures and designs for cybersecurity compliance and provide recommendations.
• Perform security measures including analysis, periodic testing, evaluation, verification, accreditation, and review of information system installations at appropriate classification levels.
• Document assessment results in a cybersecurity impact assessment report when required.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Associates or Bachelors degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science, or Business or similar field with the following experience:
1. Nessus/ACAS Scanner Experience (ACAS dashboard, setup, ability to run scans, ability to troubleshoot scanner and scanner results)
2. NIST/STIG Experience (Experience with STIG Viewer/validation/analyzing and compiling results into a POA&M)
3. RMF Experience (Experience with eMASS, Artifacts, Test Plans, Control Assessments)
• Minimum of 3 years experience working directly with Navy/Marine Corps systems
• COMPTIA Sec + or higher certification
• Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees, Government personnel, and other stakeholders.
• Ability to write effectively
• Strong interpersonal skills, good judgment, and the ability to lead a team or perform independently.
• Ability to travel up to 25%, CONUS and OCONUS
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Top Secret SCI level.
Physical Demands:
• Must be able to lift, move, and position equipment in both indoor and outdoor environments, including on uneven or natural surfaces.
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Must be able to lean, crouch, twist, bend, and squat as needed to inspect or analyze network infrastructure.
• Must be able to work outdoors in deployed environments and perform duties in adverse weather conditions, including cold, rain, snow, and heat.
