Overview

Bowhead seeks a Security Specialist to support its customer in Springfield, VA. The Security Specialist will develops and provide subject matter expertise in providing day-to-day security classification guidance and assessments of classified and controlled unclassified information (includes sensitive but unclassified) GEOINT campaigns and program tools development within the group..

Responsibilities

• Developing, staffing and managing security programs for R&D of NSG communities (to include the IC, DoD, Commonwealth allies, industry, and academia).
• Manage Government policy and procedures for the handling of Unclassified, sensitive/Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), National Security Information (Collateral), and SCI (including special security requirements) for the implementation of IC and DoD policy.
• Developing, reviewing and documenting classification management business processes ensuring compliance with the Director of National Intelligence policy (ODNI), E.O. 13526, DoDM 5200.01, Volumes 1-4, federal regulations and international arrangements.

Qualifications

In accordance with Executive Order 14042: Ensuring Adequate COVID Safety Protocols for Federal Contractors, candidates should be aware that they may be required to have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccine by date of hire.


• BA/BS, MA/MS, or PhD in law, law enforcement, cybersecurity, criminal justice, political science, history, English, or similar to these majors.
• Greater than or equal to 15 years of work experience.
• Experience developing, staffing and managing security programs for R&D of NSG communities (to include the IC, DoD, Commonwealth allies, industry, and academia).
• Expert knowledge of Government policy and procedures for the handling of Unclassified, sensitive/Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), National Security Information (Collateral), and SCI (including special security requirements) for the implementation of IC and DoD policy.
• Knowledge in developing, reviewing and documenting classification management business processes ensuring compliance with the Director of National Intelligence policy (ODNI), E.O. 13526, DoDM 5200.01, Volumes 1-4, federal regulations and international arrangements.

 

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Top Secret/SCI level. Must be eligible to obtain a CI Poly. US Citizenship is a requirement for Top Secret/SCI clearance.
