Electronics Technician - Senior (DETO-2022-3023)

 

Bowhead is seeking an Electronics Technician - Senior who lays out, builds, tests, troubleshoots, repairs, and modifies electronic developmental and production equipment, parts, components, and systems according to engineering instructions.

 

***This position will require full onsite work at the Bowhead office or Navy installation. No remote opportunity for this contract***

Responsibilities

  •  Experience with pulse power systems, solid-state switches, ferromagnetic switches, and/or COMSOL or LTspice modeling and simulation tools.
  •  Sets up and conducts laboratory and field tests; in the fabrication of Laser, RF, and pulsed power components and subsystems; and in the integration of referenced systems.
  •  Analyzes and interprets test data. -- Evaluates performance and reliability of prototype or production model. Recommends changes in circuitry or installation specifications to simplify assembly and maintenance. -
  •  May provide work leadership for lower level employees.

Qualifications

  •  Ten (10) years experience in supporting the design, development, test, and evaluation of a wide variety of electronic and electromagnetic sensors and systems.
  •  Five (5) years experience in setting up and conducting laboratory and field tests; in the fabrication of electronic and electromechanical components and subsystems; and in the integration of electronic and electromagnetic components and systems in U.S. Navy/Joint systems and platforms.
  •  Demonstrated experience providing technical supervision/direction of the other technicians.
  •   Experience in setting up and conducting laboratory and field tests.
  •  Experience with pulse power systems, solid-state switches, ferromagnetic switches, and/or COMSOL or LTspice modeling and simulation tools
  •  High Voltage and Fiber optic cabling certifications.
  •  Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
  •  Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts
  •  Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team

 

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
