Overview

PROGRAM MANAGER

 

Bowhead seeks a Program Manager to provide perform all local management actions associated with his/her employees located at the Fleet Readiness Center Southwest (FRCSW) San Diego, CA. The Program Manager will be responsible for managing Technical government programs of moderate risk and complexity. 

Responsibilities

  • Oversees program budget and schedules prepared by subordinate staff. Has supervisory responsibilities including hiring, salary and performance management.
  • Serves as primary customer contact. Responsible for business development within current customer base and/or for new customers.
  • Program complexity is the primary criteria for leveling, and dollar value of programs is secondary.
  • Investigate and report any quality defect notices issued on the task order, verification of time sheets, introduction and orientation of employees.
  • Has P&L responsibility. Frequently is involved simultaneously in several programs. 
  • Seeking individual with FRC experience.
  • FRC experience supporting Naval Air Station North Island highly desired.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree (preferred) and 7 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education, experience and certifications.
  • Minimum of four (4) years experience in Aerospace or Aircraft maintenance in a management position. 
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with the requirements of the DOD 5000 series. 
  • FRC experience supporting Naval Air Station North Island, highly desired.
  • Extensive computer/PC knowledge required including; spreadsheet software, word processing software and knowledge of MS Office Suite. 
  • Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint 
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team

Physical Demands: 

  • Must be able to lift up to 5 pounds 
  • Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time 
  • Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must be able to maintain a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
