DEPUTY PROGRAM MANAGER (BCS-22-1028-W): Bowhead is actively seeking a Deputy Program Manager to join our team in Martinsburg, WV. The Deputy Program Manager will support the Program Manager and help to oversee the Enforcement Programs and Service and Strategic Intelligence and Information Directorates for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF). 


  • Oversee technical / quality performance of tasks
  • Monitor and evaluate workloads, workflows, quality statistics, productivity, and production to conformance to AQLs
  • Collect and report statistics
  • Provide input to weekly and monthly reports
  • Attend Quarterly Program Reviews 
  • Take corrective actions if needed 
  • Identify / resolve task problems 
  • Coordinate training for task staff 
  • Perform QA reviews for compliance


  • A Bachelor's Degree and 7 years minimum experience and experience managing 300 or greater employees preferred
  • Proficient Technical Skills 
  • Demonstrated high level of Writing Skills 
  • Demonstrated ability to accurately type at least 40 wpm 
  • Interpersonal Skills 
  • Active Listening Skills 
  • Supervisory Experience (Key Personnel) 
  • Project Management/Project Planning/Project Analysis experience. 
  • Project Management Professional, (PMP certification)

Physical Demands: 

  • Must be able to lift up to 5 pounds 
  • Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
  • Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically


SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance. US Citizenship is a requirement for this contract.
