Overview

Bowhead is looking for an Acquisition Contract Support Specialist to support our PEOC3T contract in Aberdeen, MD. The Acquisition Contract Support Specialist will be responsible for supporting our DoD customer in authoring; preparing and coordinating a variety of contract support actions.

 

 

Responsibilities

  • The Acquisition Contract Support Specialist will primarily be responsible in the preparing and writing of the Statement of Work (SOW).
  • The successful Acquisition Specialist will have experience supporting a DoD or Army Program Management or Product Management Office in the preparation and coordination of ARPs for military systems.
  • The Acquisition Contract Support Specialist will work closely with subject matter experts and functional/technical experts in the identification of contract support requirements; and the writing; review; coordination; and approval of final packages.
  • The Acquisition Contract Support Specialist will also manage acquisition logistics and ensure compliance with policies; guidelines; and procedures to ensure quality and cost control.
  • Approves contractual documents; technical data; customer usage data; customer maintenance practices; customer operation characteristics; and related reports.

Qualifications

In accordance with Executive Order 14042: Ensuring Adequate COVID Safety Protocols for Federal Contractors, candidates should be aware that they may be required to have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.

 

  • Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Understanding of Statement of Work (SOW) and Performance Work Statement (PWS). Knowledge of multiple contract types such as T and M; FFP; CP.
  • Good inter-personal; writing; and verbal skills. Experience working with teams of Government and Contractors across multiple companies.
  • Able to multitask and successfully be effective on simultaneous projects at various stages of completion.

 

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds
  • Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
  • Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically

 

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT: Must be able to obtain a security clearance at the Secret level. Possessing an active secret clearance is preferred. US Citizenship is a requirement for a Secret clearance at this location.
