DECKHAND (MOB-2022-17476)   Bowhead seeks part-time, on-call Deckhand to work on a 41’ utility vessel and a 32’ high speed vessel during training operations for the US Coast Guard at Mobile Bay. Deckhands shall be knowledgeable in shipboard operations; rigging for helicopter operations; and deck seamanship. Individual should have stability under pressure and have the ability to withstand the stresses associated with the job's physical demands; potentially hazardous situations; and unpredictable weather.   LOCATION: Boat (Solomon) departs and returns from Dauphin Island; Alabama (MobileCounty). Work with a team of local operators to maintain operational and regulatory compliance status of local municipal water and sewer utility systems. Water-Wastewater Operator aka Utilities System Specialist (USS) Operator will rotate in and out of each of the seven villages on North Slope, where populations range from 250 to 1000 residents. Work schedule will be 10 hours daily at a minimum, with longer days to meet repair and call out needs. Summer water pumping will be 12 hour days for approximately 3 calendar months. Rotation schedule will be 3 weeks on (23 days), 3 weeks off (19 days). $65 a day per diem is provided. The USS will be staying in provided local housing (no camp) Travel from/to Anchorage, AK or Fairbanks, AK to the villages are paid by employer - all other travel expenses are responsibility of the employee. The USS will report directly to the Field Operations Lead, or to the Project Manager when the Field Operations Lead is unavailable.   Equipment preventative maintenance and repairs will be required. This will include directing or accomplishing the excavation and repair of buried pipes in arctic conditions, and repair of individual residential and commercial service connections. The USS will be expected to maintain, clean and organized the Water and Wastewater plants. Maintain daily reporting to the central office in Utqiaġvik. Report emergency incidents when they occur. Communicate system issues to engineers. Keep daily water and wastewater logs on the Lotus Notes software. Prepare and send wastewater samples on a timely basis for monthly discharge monitoring reports. These are municipal sites and systems; they are not industrial. The USS must be able to interface with the public, maintain a professional demeanor, and work with municipal employees to maintain utility service. We are seeking an experienced Mate aboard our 200 GRT, 150ft Landing Craft, MV Unalaq built new in 2014.   Essential Functions: - Supervises and coordinates activities of crew aboard ship. - Assumes command of ship in event ship captain becomes incapacitated. - Inspects cargo deck of ship during loading to ensure that cargo is stowed according to specifications. - Examines cargo-handling gear and lifesaving equipment and orders crew to repair or replace defective gear and equipment. - Supervises crew engaged in cleaning and maintaining decks, superstructure, and bridge of ship. - Stands watch during specified periods and determines geographical position of ship, upon request of Master, using loran and azimuths of celestial bodies.  

Scale house operator is responsible for operating weigh scales, scale computer and software data programs, data entry and record keeping. The scale house operator ensures trucks receive tare weights each day prior to loading. The operator also scales and records each loaded truck throughout the day and records weights and prints tickets.

Crushing Superintendent Job Summary:The Crushing Superintendent is responsible for overseeing and managing daily operations of the crushing plant, including supervision of all hourly field employees working in the quarry or material site. The Crushing Superintendent is also responsible for budgeting, mine planning, permitting, as well as working as member of the project management team to achieve operational goals and objectives. The Crushing Superintendent should strive for maximum performance, production, profitability, while ensuring the safety of his crew. Essential Functions�Develop and maintain a safe and environmentally compliant crushing operation.�Monitor cost and production and make adjustments accordingly while communicating to the management team.�Help develop new operational methods to reduce costs and produce a consistent result. �Oversee and direct production to meet quality specifications, quantity requirements, and schedule demands. �Oversee quality control program to ensure all products produced meet the required specifications. �Oversee maintenance program of crushing plant as well as regular parts ordering and tracking. �Manage hourly field employee�s time and schedule. �Oversee, adhere, and ensure proper compliance with OSHA and MSHA rules and regulations. �Maintain accurate records of daily production of materials, equipment hours, and maintenance records. �Analyze various potential material sites for estimating productions and providing input for projects to bid.�Enforce safety procedures with training and observation to ensure safety policies and procedures are met.�Operate equipment as necessary to process material and stockpile. �Communicate progress and pertinent issues to management as necessary. �Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
